The Celebrity Apprentice, a TV program hosted by former President Trump, was the “most difficult thing” country musician Trace Adkins has ever done, he claimed on Friday.
Adkins said this while appearing on “Real Time With Bill Maher” on HBO.
When comedian and host Bill Maher questioned Adkins about his experience, he responded, “It was the most difficult thing I’ve ever done.
“If you go on there and attempt to win,” he clarified, “which is what I wanted to do for my organizations.”
Adkins participated in “The Celebrity Apprentice” in 2008 and 2013, winning the second time around after finishing as the runner-up.
In the 2004–2017 season of “The Apprentice,” participants were judged on their business acumen. The first fourteen seasons of the program were hosted by Donald Trump.
Adkins recalled Trump’s appearance on the program and stated of him, “He was always wonderful to me.”
That means nothing, Maher said in response.
“O.J. was the subject of similar remarks. O.J. Simpson, a former NFL running back who was the focus of a notorious murder prosecution in the mid-1990s, was “kind to me,” Maher added. In the trial, Simpson was found not guilty.
Later, Adkins and Maher lamented the partisanship in the US and talked about it.
