APC Aspirant Fatimah Abdullahi Concedes Defeat, Backs Wadada In Nasarawa Race

Dr. Fatimah Abdullahi, a female gubernatorial aspirant under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has agreed to the result of the party’s primaries and pledged to give her support to the winner of the Nasarawa APC election, Ahmed Aliyu Wadada.

The female governorship aspirant, who made a statement on May 23, 2026, appreciated the members of the party and those who dedicated themselves to seeing a woman emerge as the party’s flagbearer.

She also likened the primary election to an effort to build a more inclusive and stronger Nasarawa state, where every voice is important.

She also appealed to all her supporters, coordinators, and well-wishers in the state to gather behind the winner of the All Progressive Congress’s governorship aspirant Wadada, and work towards ensuring that the party emerges as the winner of the next year’s general election.

Dr. Fatimah Abdullahi commits her loyalty to the APC and her preparedness to ensure that all candidates of the party from all levels emerge as winners.

The former aspirant also called on women to continue to participate in politics, as she appeals to them to register, organize, and contest for political positions so that they can contribute to the progress of society.

She also mentioned that their contributions are very important for accountable and responsible governance.
