
Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State has appointed Dr Oyije Ochaekiti Ogbenjuwa, a 38-year-old man as his deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 general election.
The announcement was made by the governorship candidate at a party congress held in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, where he also mentioned his priorities for the state if he wins the general election.
He promised to fight insecurity hard by ensuring there is a stop to attacks and killing by making sure that there is lasting protection of lives and property across Benue State.
The PDP candidate also pledged to reawaken the agricultural spirit of the state and promote rural development, reinforcing Benue’s position as the “Food Basket of the Nation.”
Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN, also mentioned enterprise support and youth and women empowerment via job creation, including commitments to improved infrastructure, quality healthcare, and better education as part of his agenda.
The legal expert also said that his administration would ensure that there is transparency, accountability, Justice, and ensure there is unity among those living in the state.
