Malami Emerges ADC Governorship Candidate in Kebbi Ahead of 2027 Polls

Abubakar Malami, SAN, the immediate past minister for justice has been elected in Kebbi State as the state’s governorship candidate under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for next year’s general elections.

Mohammed Bello Doka, who is a media aide of the former attorney general of the federation mentioned that his boss’s emergence came after due consultation with leaders of the party, stakeholders, and his well-wishers across the state.

Malami in his reaction appreciated the party’s stakeholders for the confidence reposed in him, promising to abide by the party’s regulations.

The statement also mentioned that other people endorsed by the party include retired Major General Aminu Bande (Kebbi Central), Ibrahim Muhammad Mera (Kebbi North), and Garba Danjuma Limi (Kebbi South).

The party pledges its commitment to development, good governance, and justice.

The former minister is expected to contest against the current governor of Kebbi State, HE Nasir Idris of the All Progressives Congress.
