APC Clears 31 Candidates for Bauchi Assembly Elections Ahead of 2027

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the list of its 31 candidates who have emerged as flag bearers to contest in the Bauchi State House of Assembly for the coming general election next year.

The 31 candidates emerged after they won the House of Assembly primary elections conducted across various state constituencies on May 21.

Retired AIG John Bassey Abang who is the Chairman of the party’s Governorship and House of Assembly Primaries Committee in Bauchi State, made the announcement and confirmed the list of the successful candidates after the primary election was conducted successfully.

Hon. Aminu Garba garnered a total of 3,566 votes in Pali constituency to secure the party’s ticket against several contenders.

Haris Aliyu Hardo secured the ticket for Bauchi Central after gathering 5,430 votes, while Alhaji Ibrahim Garba Gwana secured the ticket for Duguri/Gwana State constituency.

Other members of the party who will be representing at the general election for the state’s House of Assembly seats are Abdulhamid Rufai, Hon. Bulus Iliya Buli, Hon. Babale Abubakar, Hon. Sa’idu Sulaiman, Hon. Lawan Dauda, and Dr. Nuhu Ibrahim Alabura.

APC in its reaction to the primary described it as peaceful, stating that it demonstrated the party’s readiness for the coming general elections.
