Enyinnaya Abaribe has reportedly left the African Democratic Congress, ADC, and joined the Labour Party, LP.
The news of the ranking senator was made known by Emenike Iroegbu, who mentioned that the senator had officially joined the party.
Joining the new party marks another political realignment in the Abia South Senatorial District representative’s career.
He left his former party, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the African Democratic Congress, ADC in December of last year.
He secured his reelection bid to the Senate in 2023 under the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe had only spent a few months in the ADC before his latest move to the Labour Party.
This is the fifth time that the ranking senator will be representing his constituency, the Abia South Senatorial District.
While the news has been broken by Emenike Iroegbu, Abaribe has yet to confirm or deny the update.
