The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has released its official timetable for the coming primary election in preparation for next year’s general election and approved the nomination form fees for all elective positions.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary mentioned that the timetable reflects ADC’s commitment to orderliness, internal democracy, and adherence to electoral laws.
The timetable revealed that the sale of forms still begins on May 5 and ends on May 10, 2026, while completed forms are to be submitted between May 11 and May 13.
According to the schedule, primary elections will start on May 21, with battles for state assembly, House of Representatives, and Senate spots happening on the same day at the ward level.
The party also mentioned that nomination forms for women, youths, and persons with disabilities have been reduced to accommodate everyone with the ambition to represent.
