Speaker Mike Johnson revealed why he strongly believes that President Joe Biden was not in charge of running the country, and was deceived into signing an executive order that supports the Russian-Ukraine war and continued funding by the US.
During an interview with Free Press, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives revealed his personal observation which he said was confirmed about a year and a half before the end of Biden’s administration.
He said that when he took over the political role in October 2023, there were many major issues on National security which definitely was top priority and necessitated him requesting a meeting with the president, but he was constantly being refused.
“They won’t let me meet with him”, he said. He said that the staff constantly gave him excuses and said the president didn’t have time. He continued that the barrage of excuses continued for 8 to 9 weeks despite him being second in line to the presidency.
Speaker Johnson at a point could not take it anymore and told the press that there was a problem because the president was not being allowed to meet with the speaker. And that was when they allowed the meeting.
However, on getting to the Oval Office, Johnson said it was an “ambush” because it was not a private meeting and Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, the CIA director William J. Burns, and “everybody” were present.
According to him, the discussion was centered on Ukraine’s funding, and at a point, he hinted at his displeasure and that was when Biden excused them to leave so he could have a private conversation with the speaker.
Speaker Mike Johnson quickly seized the moment, thanked him for the opportunity then before moving into the critical issue, he asked Biden the question that has kept him sleepless many nights – because, to him, the decision was unreasonable.
“Why did you pause LNG export to our European allies”? He asked Biden who looked stunned. Stopping the export of gas to Europe only forces those nations to buy from Russia, providing them with the funds necessary to continue fueling the war against Ukraine, which the US was also heavily funding.
He revealed that Biden was utterly surprised and said he never did that. When he wanted to present the executive order that was signed to that effect, Biden was left even more shocked and revealed that he might have been deceived into approving the ban when he thought he was just signing off documents to okay the studies on the effects of using LNG.
While other reporters blame Biden’s mental decline, the Speaker who recently got re-elected to serve under Trump thinks there is a shadow government controlling the presidency, and said it was at that moment that he realized that the US was in serious trouble because nobody knew who was running the country.
