Federal agents in the United States shot two people outside a hospital located in east Portland, Oregon, after 24 hours when an ICE Officer fatally shot Reene Good in Minneapolis.
A report from Portland police confirms that the two people have been ferried to hospital, while their conditions were yet to be clear.
Officials also mentioned that one person was shot in the chest while another one was shot in the leg.
The Department of Homeland Security, while reacting to the incident, reported that border patrol officers fired the shot after a driver allegedly tried to escape them over a stop that was linked to the investigation of an undocumented immigrant.
The FBI has commenced an investigation into the shooting, while leaders across the city have questioned the federal account, as Mayor Keith Wilson mentioned that trust in an explanation as sick has eroded.
The shooting has raised concern and heightened anger among residents, leading to calls from those elected and community leaders for the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement to stop operations in Portland as fear of potential violence and constitutional abuses grows.
