A Michigan autoworker who got suspended without compensation after he confronted President Donald Trump during a visit to a Ford plant has received donations of tens of thousands of dollars.

A staff member at Ford’s River Rouge facility with the name TJ Sabula was reported to have screamed “pedophile protector” at POTUS as the president moved around the site earlier this week.

Footage that was shared by TMZ revealed the president responding to TJ Sabula with a middle-finger gesture and shouting back.

Sabula, who spoke to the Washington Post, mentioned that he did not regret calling out the president, but he is scared for his job, claiming his punishment was for political reasons and for embarrassing Trump.

Those who viewed TJ Sabula’s suspension without pay as unjust launched a GoFundMe to offset his lost wages, raising over $70,000 by Wednesday, with donations that were reported to have included one from Dropkick Murphys.

The White House has defended the action of the president ahead of his speech in Detroit, while Ford refused to comment on the issue.
