Undefeated UFC Lightweight champion- Khabib Nurmagomedov, defeated his opponent- Justin Gaethje, via triangle choke-hold submission two minutes into the second round at UFC 249, held in Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The submission came after Justin landed him a kick which brought him down, however, Khabib was quick to grab his opponent’s leg as it came down for a second kick, slamming him to the floor and making him tap out via submission.

Thereafter, Khabib Nurmagomedov officially announced his retirement in the Octagon, three days after he previously hinted it! Khabib Nurmagomedov retired as an undefeated champion with a 13-0 record in UFC, and 29-0 in MMA!
