Rangers Secure Ninth NPFL Title With Win Against Ikorodu City

Rangers International FC has secured another Nigeria Premier Football League title making it their ninth after a tough 2-1 win at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos against Ikorodu City FC.

Rangers International FC which came to Lagos as visitors and was managed by Fidelis Ilechukwu started the game very well and scored their first goal in the 30th minute through Chidiebere Nwobodo.

Nwobodo netted the team’s second goal after the restart placing the visitor in strong control.

Ikorodu City in a position where they are struggling to be part of the next continental game, fired a goal before the hour mark through Moses Ali, but were unable to record a draw.

In another game, Rivers United FC ended their game in Port Harcourt against Katsina United FC with a strong 3-0.

In the 3-0 victory, Chijioke Mbaoma netted a double for Rivers United FC while Aniekeme Okon fired one.
