Liverpool did a dominating performance to edge West Ham United F.C. and moved to level on points with Manchester United F.C in the Premier League fourth-place.

Liverpool netted three goals before the end of the first 45 minutes, with Hugo Ekitike scoring the first goal before Virgil van Dijk scored a header through a corner from Dominik Szoboszlai.

The third goal was scored by Alexis Mac Allister through a deflected volley. The three goals netted in the first 45 minutes came from set-pieces, revealing the domination from Liverpool in dead-ball situations since the season commenced.

West Ham was able to fire in a goal as the second half began while Tomas Soucek closed in, but Cody Gakpo came back to restore the three-goal cushion in the 70th minute.

Taty Castellanos gave West Ham United a little hope, only for an own goal by Axel Disasi to close a 5-2 loss.

Liverpool now jumps to fifth position coming before Chelsea which has a next match against Arsenal, while West Ham still remains in 18th place, with only two points before Nottingham Forest.
