
Tammy Abraham returns to form with a needed late goal as his side Aston Villa recorded a 1-1 draw on Saturday against Leeds United, keeping their little title hopes alive.
The forward, Abraham returned to Villa Park in a £18 million deal after a difficult time at Besiktas. He fired his first goal in the domestic league since his return to the Villa.
He scored the needed goal in the 88th-minute helping the home side to escape a loss.
Before Abraham’s late goal, it appeared as if Leeds was on its way to recording a win and snatching all three points after a fantastic free kick from Anton Stach found the net.
The late intervention by Tammy Abraham sends Aston Villa to third position in the league table putting them seven points behind league leaders Arsenal.
The draw shows the home side’s resilience, with the result making it their 19th point recovered from losing positions since the Premier League started this season, more than any other team in the competition.
