Barcelona earned direct qualification to the last 16 of the Champions League after a dominating 4–1 comeback victory on Wednesday night against Copenhagen.
Barcelona was the first team to concede a goal when teenager Viktor Dadason capitalized on a defensive mistake to help the Danish team secure the lead after the fourth minute of the game.
Barcelona came back to equalization after the second half began, when they had already experienced a disjointed first half in which goalkeeper Dominik Kotarski saved an attempt by Robert Lewandowski, and Eric Garcia’s shot hit the crossbar.
Lewandowski gave Barcelona the needed goal level three minutes after the commencement of the second half after a sharp move that involved contributions from both Dani Olmo and Lamine Yamal.
Lamine Yamal’s goal put that Catalonian giant in the lead with a deflected strike from a distance before Lewandowski was awarded a contentious penalty that was brilliantly converted by Raphinha.
Marcus Rashford, who was brought in as a substitute, fired the last goal of the match with a late win through a dipping free kick that slipped past Kotarski.
The win put Hansi Flick’s men in the top eight, while Copenhagen could not proceed to the playoffs after being eliminated despite a late disallowed goal.
