Kai Havertz played his first start for Arsenal in almost a year with a goal as the team completed a perfect Champions League league phase, earning a 3–2 win against Kairat Almaty to make it eight wins in eight games.
Arsenal, which was already guaranteed to finish in the top two places after defeating Inter Milan last week, fired early when Havertz released Viktor Gyokeres, who scored just two minutes into the game.
Kairat immediately fired an equalizer against the host, Arsenal, from the penalty spot, after Jorginho converted after Riccardo Calafiori was sanctioned.
Arsenal did not waste much time before it regained possession, and Havertz fired in a left-footed shot to restore the lead.
Gabriel Martinelli later scored Arsenal’s third goal through a low cross that came from Gyokeres.
Gabriel Jesus scored a late goal for Arsenal, which was later ruled out for offside, while Ricardinho fired a consolation for Kairat but it was not enough to earn any points.
The win sees Arsenal finishing perfectly at the top and entering the Champions League record with a complete league-win campaign.
