Thierno Barry proceeded with his outstanding form as he scored his fourth goal in five Premier League games, with Everton making a recovery from sluggish first half to draw 1-1 against Leeds at their new stadium.
Leeds took an early possession with an aggressive display and created better opportunities, as Everton’s goalkeeper Jordan Pickford denied an effort from former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The first goal of the match came 30 minutes after the match commenced, with James Justin firing home a good first-ever goal for Leeds after converting a cross from Anton Stach.
Calvert-Lewin later fired a shot that hit the post, revealing a strong first half for Leeds.
Everton came back stronger as the second half began after a tactical change in play, with Barry creating efforts to net goals before he finally earned the equaliser through a low cross from Idrissa Gueye.
Idrissa Gueye then made an attempt but it hit the bar as Everton pushed for victory.
The draw marks Everton’s fifth winless game at home, while their away struggles continue, pushing them closer to the relegation zone.
