Sunderland Beats Wolves 2-0 To Extend Undefeated Home Streak

Sunderland earned a convincing 2-0 win at the Stadium of Light against Wolverhampton Wanderers, extending their home win to four games. The game also extended Wolves’ winless streak in the Premier League.

The first goal of the match was scored early, after 16 minutes when the game commenced, and Nordi Mukiele fired home a sharp assist from Trai Hume to give Sunderland the lead.

Wolves did not make any surprises despite hopes from fans after they got two narrow losses, with their best opportunity being discarded by Joao Gomes twice.

Sunderland did not lose focus throughout the game as they maintained control, wreaking havoc for Wolverhampton Wanderers, who came on a visit, letting them have few opportunities on target.

The Black Cats sealed their victory as the game was nearing an end when defender Ladislav Krejci mistakenly kicked a low cross by Chemsdine Talbi into his side’s net.

The victory pushed Sunderland to seventh place in the Premier League table, earning the same points as the Blues and Tottenham Hotspur, while Wolves sit at the bottom of the table, yearning for their first since the league started.
