Israel and Hamas have finally agreed to the first phase of a peace deal two years after Hamas attacked Israel during the Jewish holidays of Simchat Torah and Shemini Atzeret on Shabbat.
The deal, engineered by Trump, again demonstrated the strength of the United States and the reward of perseverance from Trump’s administration.
In the beginning, the United States was in full support of however the Israelis chose to retaliate or defend their country against Palestine. However, when the situation continued to escalate, they decided to pursue peace.
In the last two years, the two countries have exchanged missiles, with Palestine defending as the war has claimed thousands of Gaza residents and displaced tens of thousands.
This deal is a beautiful step forward to what can be achieved when there’s peace in the Middle East.
The Israeli government would vote on whether there should be a cease-fire. The results of the vote would determine their next line of action.
Trump, who is very optimistic about the end of the war, has said that the hostages who were captured in Israel and Gaza in the last two years may likely be released and returned to their home countries.
He also hinted at traveling to the region soon when it is safe.
This is a step in the right direction as the United States pushes to become the most powerful country in the world.
