While there is no doubt that the spiritual controls, or at least, can affect the physical human world, the recent revelation that some witches were hired online to place a curse on Charlie Kirk weeks before a right-wing fan killed him, might serve as evidence.
On September 8, 2025, a feminist website called Jezebel published an article titled “We Paid Some Etsy Witches to Curse Charlie Kirk”.
In the post, it wrote about paying for an order from Etsy to have witches cast a spell on Charlie Kirk because his continual presence and appearance on Turning Point USA was “more irritating”.
However, Jezebel clearly wrote they were not calling on dark forces to cause him harm, but only so that minor things around him might go wrong; such as his podcast microphone suddenly becoming faulty, having a slipping sock or an enlarged thumb that would make him unable to tweet on X.
The writer said they were surprised to discover that Etsy was a haven for witches and voodoo after getting 5,000 results on their search query on placing a curse.
Jezebel disclosed that it ordered multiple curses at different “severity levels” and prices, including one that had Charlie Kirk’s photo in flames, and noted one of the conjurers saying that it was successful and that the result would be seen within 2-3 weeks.
The exact date Jezebel ordered the Charlie Kirk’s curse from Etsy was not stated, but it is most likely in late August, around 23rd – 18 days (2 weeks and 2 days) before Charlie was shot and killed on September 10.
Etsy is an e-commerce site that has been accused of selling child sex trafficking disguised as pizza and cupboards.
Charlie Kirk’s wife, Erika, said they heard about the curse a day before he was killed and called a friend to pray for him in their home.
Jezebel’s original article has been changed 29 times since the moment of Charlie Kirk’s death. In the latest update, Jezebel reiterated that the article was a “humorous piece”, and that they had said in the article itself that they intend no physical harm.
