The Department of Justice has officially filed a complaint of misconduct against James Boasberg, a Chief U.S. District Judge, who is in charge of several cases that have to do with the administration of President Donald Trump.

Chad Mizelle submitted the complaint. Mizelle is the chief of staff to Attorney General Pam Bondi. The complaint raised allegations of inappropriate comments during a closed judicial conference on March 11 regarding deportation flights to El Salvador.

The chief of staff to Attorney General Pam Bondi blamed the federal judge’s alleged comment as baseless and “unprecedented,” claiming that the new administration did not disobey any court order. Although the comment has not been verified by many, including the media.

The judge is yet to make any comment on the complaint, but he had formerly stopped three deportation flights in the middle of the air in March under Trump’s executive order invoking the Alien Enemies Act.

Bondiwrote on X, “Today at my direction, @TheJusticeDept filed a misconduct complaint against U.S. District Court Chief Judge James Boasberg for making improper public comments about President Trump and his Administration.”

The judge went further to initiate a contempt hearing to check the level of court order violations made by the current administration. The case has been placed on hold by an appeals court.
