There have been rumours going about on social media platforms that claim that Glock GmbH, a company that makes guns, will discontinue most of its pistols, which does not exclude Glock 17 and Glock 19, known as their best-selling models, by the end of next month, November.
The rumour started going about on social media after Gavin Newsom, the California governor, appended his signature on October 10th on a law that bans new sales of semi-automatic handguns, which cannot be difficult to convert into fully automatic weapons using a “switch.”
The law signed by Governor Gavin Newsom aims at pistols with a “cruciform trigger bar,” a part that can be seen in a lot of models created by Glock, though it does not include private sales and law enforcement.
The rumour got more traction after Glock Store shared an Instagram post on October 20th that all Glocks will be discontinued in November, except 43, 43X, and 48X, and will be taken over by new “V Models” that are designed not to require switch conversions.
Similar confirmations from sources were also revealed by the Pew Pew Tactical, while Glock GmbH has not made any comment about the rumor.
