A CCTV camera captured the disturbing moment an intoxicated man picked up an 18-year-old boy and slammed him hard on the ground. Though the little kid survived the grave physical assault, the attack left him in a coma.
The worrisome event occurred at the arrival section in Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow, Russia, on June 25, 2025, and was committed by a tourist who, before carrying out the heinous crime, checked to see if anyone was nearby.
After a few glances to ensure that he was alone with the little kid who was standing beside him with his small briefcase, the man, who had been identified as 31-year-old Vladimir Vitkov, from Belarus, picked him up and smashed him on the floor.
He immediately pulled down his sunglasses and tried to feign ignorance of what he had just done. He sat on the floor before running off, while some people picked up the boy and took him away.
The CCTV footage continued with the man being led out in handcuffs by the police.
Vladimir had just arrived in Russia as a tourist, and just like the kid and his family, he and his family had fled from Iran due to the war with Israel.
The mother of the kid, who is pregnant, had left him briefly to get a trolley. They had just arrived from Iran due to the same conflict. The toddler is currently hospitalized with fractures to his skull and spine.
The crime is currently under investigation by the authorities. Their investigation will also include checking to see if the attack was racially, religiously, or otherwise motivated.
Moscow’s Children’s Ombudswoman Ksenia Mishonova referred to Vladimir as a “drug-addled monster”. Tests ran on his blood found traces of cannabis. A media also reported that he was found in possession of illegal substances.
