A man launched a targeted terror attack at an outdoor mall in Boulder, Colorado, injuring eight people with a makeshift flamethrower. The FBI didn’t hesitate—they called it terrorism at once.
The attacker, 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman, shouted “Free Palestine” before unleashing flames on a peaceful demonstration. The event, organized by “Run For Their Lives”, aimed to spotlight Israeli hostages still held in Gaza.
Four women and four men, aged between 52 and 88, were hospitalized. Boulder police initially reported six injuries. One victim remains in critical condition.
Soliman was injured during the incident. He was treated at a hospital. No details were given on how he was hurt.
Police arrested him at the scene. Charges are pending. Officials promised to hold him fully accountable.
Boulder police chief Steve Redfearn refused to speculate but confirmed the victims were consistent with being burned. The group had assembled without incident before the attack.
This explosion of violence reflects growing unrest. Across the United States, anger has generated massively across the U.S. over the assault caused by Israel on Gaza, which has led to a rise in not only anti-Semitic but also Islamophobic attacks.
Israel’s military campaign, which enjoys the support of America, has seen the death of over 54,000 people in Gaza, mostly children and women. Millions now teeter on the edge of starvation under a crushing blockade. Hamas, meanwhile, still holds 58 hostages from its October 7 assault.
