Mary Lou Retton’s Mugshot Goes Viral 2 Months After DUI Arrest.

US Olympic legend Mary Lou Retton has been in the news recently, after her mugshot went viral on social media two months after she was arrested for DUI.

Her mugshot was released alongside a video of her arrest and a glimpse into how the 57-year-old fared.

She was putting on a yellow shirt when she was pulled over by the police, who noticed she might have had something to drink.

Following protocols, the officer conducted a sobriety test, which she reluctantly did. However, she refused the breathalyzer test even when she knew she was going to be charged for that.

Soon she was arrested and taken to the station for driving under the influence while she pleaded her innocence.

At the station, she kept crying even when her mugshot was taken and it was released to the public on Tuesday.

The police had reported that he saw a container of wine beside her and she was fined $100 for driving under the influence.

After fufiling her legal obligations, Retton apologized to her family, friends, and fans, noting that there was no excuse for her behavior, especially since she was seen as a role model.

“I am determined to learn and grow from this experience, and I am committed to making positive changes in my life. I truly appreciate your concern, encouragement and continued support,” she said.
