Kennedy Jr, that said Pope Francis died on February 25, 2025, but that the Vatican was hiding his death and will publicly announce it on March, 3, 2025, Cardinal Kevin Farrell announced on Monday at 07:47 GMT that the catholic head have passed away on the morning of Easter Monday, 05:35 GMT, at 88 years old. He made the announcement from Domus Santa Marta.
Cause Of Death
According to the Vatican’s Directorate of Health and Hygiene, Pope Francis died of stroke, coma, and irreversible cardiovascular collapse. He was also noted to have suffered from acute respiratory failure that was exacerbated by multimicrobial pneumonia that affected both lungs, multiple bronchiectases, arterial hypertension, and type II diabetes.

Unlike the norm, where the Pope would wash the feet of prisoners, he was unable to do so and instead offered gifts of rosaries and small-sized gospel pamphlets to the 70 inmates who attended.
- US Vice President JD Vance visited Pope Francis in his residence on April 20.
- Still on April 20, the Pope said the Urbi et Orbi blessing before thousands of Catholics and pilgrims at St Peter’s Square for the Easter Sunday Mass celebration. He then came down and greeted the crowd as he rode on the Popemobile. That appearance would become his last as he died the following morning.
Pope Francis Controversies
