David Moyes secured his first victory in his second game as Everton snatched three points against Tottenham Hotspur in a 3-2 win in the Premier League at Goodison Park.
The victory put an end to Everton’s six-game winless streak in the Premier League and was achieved through goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Iliman Ndiaye.
Everton made an impressive start while Calvert-Lewin netted his first goal this season after playing in 16 matches, followed by an impressive solo performance by Ndiaye to double their lead.
Archie Gray scored an own goal against his side, Tottenham, which made it 3-0 before the end of the first half, but Tottenham made a well-calculated comeback through goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison, making it a nervy finish.
Despite the impressive efforts by Tottenham in the second half, Everton held on for the victory, moving four points away from the relegation area. Tottenham is yet to win any of their last six matches in the Premier League.
