
Current WNBA Rookie of the Year, Caitlin Clark has been ruled out for at least two weeks after she picked up a left quadriceps strain in Indiana Fever’s game against The New York Liberty.
She had played till the end of the game last Saturday but was seen afterwards trying to soothe the pain in her left leg.
Two days later, Clark’s injury was revealed and she posted it on social media, along with the period of recovery.
On Wednesday, Indiana faced the Washington Mystics, this time without their star rookie. DeWanna Bonner led the team to the fight, recording 21 points, 4 rebounds and an assist.
After a tough fight, Indiana lost the game by six points.
Wednesday’s game was the first time Clark had missed a match since she started her spell in the WNBA.
Clark has had a wonderful spell with the Indiana Fever and even a great spell in the WNBA overall.
In her rookie season, she bagged records for the most assists in the league, was named part of the WNBA All-Star team, and was selected to the All-WNBA first team.
Indiana Fever has seen a significant drop in viewership since Caitlin Clark got injured. It dropped by 200,000 views.
