A British woman that sent her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend numerous videos of herself farting was arrested by the police and her crime was UK’s first cyber-farting case.
25-year-old Rhiannon Evans had flooded the phone of her boyfriend’s former girlfriend, Deborah Prytherch, with her farting videos. The many clips of herself passing gas made the victim feel unsafe in her home.
Listen to the audio sounds of her farting below:
Deborah reported to the authorities who arrested Rhiannon for the cybercrime.
Rhiannon appeared in a Wales court on Wednesday and pleaded guilty to Britain’s first cyber-farting crime where she was issued a restraining order, mandated to attend 15 compulsory rehabilitation sessions and pass 60 days of monitored alcohol abstinence.
She also also mandated to a 12-month community service and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £199 costs to the victim.
A review of the videos by the court showed that Rhiannon Evans purposely placed her phone’s camera on her buttocks and recorded while she passed gas.
The prosecutor Diane Williams noted that as she farted, she would look at the camera smiling.
In her defense, Rhiannon said she sent the videos to her man’s ex-girlfriend because she felt she was not treating him fairly. Her attorney argued she had drinking and mental health problems and sent the videos because there were issues pertaining to child visitation between the former boyfriend and Deborah.
Rhiannon Evans said she regretted her actions but was equally shocked at the huge punishment she received. Lamenting the “snowflake” generation and times, she said she was shocked that sending farting videos to another person on WhatsApp could even land her in court. “I’ve learned my lesson”, she said.
