Rodrigo Muniz Late Strike Earns Fulham 2-1 Victory Against Chelsea

Rodrigo Muniz scored a late goal to earn Fulham a 2-1 win against Chelsea in the 95th minute, putting an end to Chelsea’s 13-match unbeaten run.

This defeat dims Chelsea’s chances of winning the Premier League again.

The first goal of the match was scored in the 15th minute after Cole Palmer moved past Fulham’s defense to give Chelsea the lead. Bernd Leno’s outstanding keeps Fulham hoping despite the hosts stealing the possession in the first half.

While Chelsea kept the pressure and hope to extend their lead as they journey into the second half, Levi Colwill and Enzo Fernandez created chances but could not convert them into goals, as the match proceeds Fulham’s momentum kept increasing.

Harry Wilson helped Fulham to secure an equalizer in the 81st minute after a clever assist between Alex Iwobi and Timothy Castagne. 

The draw extended to stoppage time until Sasa Lukic created an assist through a cross to Muniz, who calmly converted it into a goal after slotting past Robert Sanchez to earn Fulham their first win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge since 1979. 

This win catapults Fulham to eighth position on the Premier League table while Chelsea remain in the second position of the table.
