Video: Tornado In Northern California Leaves Trails Of Damage

On Saturday after, Scotts Valley, part of Northern California, experienced a tornado injuring at least four persons as reported by local authorities.

Cars were overturned by the tornado, power lines were downed, and significant damages were caused in the area while they were located about 55 miles south of San Francisco.

The tornado was classified as an EF1 by the National Weather Service (NWS), while the peak wind speeds measured 90 mph.

The twister measured almost 30 yards wide; it touched down at 1:39 p.m. local time and moved a quarter of a mile before it dissipated. Two of those who got injured were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.

San Francisco also witnessed its first-ever tornado warning earlier that morning

The warning alerts woke more than one million people who lived in the area, calling on them to look for where to stay as winds reached 60 mph. 

The warning that was issued for downtown San Francisco and parts of San Mateo County was cleared after minutes the storm moved out of the area.

The crew who were responsible for the repair worked late at night and overnight to clean up the debris and ensure that there was normalcy in Scotts Valley.
