A legend and former star of Iowa women’s basketball, Jamie Cavey-Lang, who also doubles as a radio analyst, died on Saturday at the age of 41 after fighting cancer.

Jamie Cavey-Lang, who joined the broadcast team in 2016, stopped being a part of the radio business after the 2022–23 season.

She joined the Iowa women’s basketball squad in 2001 and left four years later, playing and contributing to four seasons. Cavey-Lang graduated from North Cedar High School and concluded her Hawkeye career with 1,265 points, where she ranked 27th in program history and 506 rebounds.

Among the records she won was a two-time All-Big Ten selection and a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
