Brighton’s goalless draw against Brentford made it their sixth Premier League game without a win, while Brentford just earned their season away point of the season.
The Seagulls had an opportunity to snatch an early win when Joao Pedro made a brilliant assist to Julio Enciso in the fifth minute of the game, but Julio Enciso’s strike hit the right post.
Brighton did not do enough to destroy a stubborn Brentford defense on a chilly night despite controlling and dominating much of the game at the Amex Stadium.
Brentford currently holds the Premier League’s worst away title; they had a stroke of luck taking the lead in the 14th minute after a clinical finish from Yoane Wissa when he walked past Brighton’s defense. Yoane Wissa’s goal was later ruled out after the referee checked VAR, which confirmed its narrow offside.
Despite the draw recorded, the supporters of Brighton shared a moment of joy late in the match seeing Solly March returning to the game after being absent for 14 months because of a serious knee injury.
Solly March was all over the game as he contributed to ensuring a win, but it was a goalless draw at the end. He died a late shot that went over the bar.
