Brentford succeeded after appealing to overturn the red card that was given to their midfielder, Christian Norgaard who was sent off during their 0-0 draw against Everton on Saturday.
The midfielder was sent off after a VAR check that revealed that he hit Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford on his knee as he stretched to reach that ball into the box.
The referee, Chris Kavanagh, did not show him the red card initially until the VAR, Matt Donohue, told him to check the screen before deciding to use the red card.
The decision to give midfielder Christian Norgaard a red card did not go down well with Brentford manager Thomas Frank, who could not manage his reaction.
Christian Norgaard was sent off for serious foul play in the 41st minute of the match at Goodison Park last Saturday when the club was held to a 0-0 draw.
The Football Association revealed on Wednesday (today) that the appeal was successful and Norgaard will not be banned from playing subsequent games.
If the appeal failed, Nørgaard would have been ruled out of playing in the next three games against Leicester City, Aston Villa, and Newcastle.
