A new documentary titled “Chris Brown: A History of Violence” has brought fresh allegations against the 35-year-old “With You” singer, even as he was spotted enjoying a Halloween mansion party in Hollywood Hills, according to the U.S. Sun. The Investigation Discovery documentary, part of the network’s “No Excuse for Abuse” campaign, looks at Breezy’s alleged history of violence and features accounts from multiple women.
The documentary premiered on Sunday and includes a graphic account of Chris Brown‘s 2009 assault on his then-girlfriend Rihanna. Acclaimed author and retired Los Angeles Police Department sergeant Cheryl Dorsey describes the incident: “He’s driving, punching her in the left eye with his right fist as he drives with his left hand, and this goes on for blocks.”
Another alleged victim, Liziane Gutierrez, said that in 2016, Brown allegedly punched her at a party for attempting to take his picture. The next year, another ex-girlfriend of the R&B singer, Karrueche Tran, was granted a restraining order after she claimed that Brown had punched her in the stomach and pushed her down the stairs.
A Jane Doe featured in the documentary brought back previous allegations she had made that Brown raped her in 2020 at a party on Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ yacht in Miami. She recounts, “Next thing I know he was on top of me and I couldn’t move and I said ‘no’ and then I felt him… next thing I knew he was inside me.”
Despite these serious allegations, Chris Brown was seen at a Halloween party in a Hollywood Hills mansion on Friday. An eyewitness told the U.S. Sun,
“Chris was often hunched over behind the group in a corner near a window as he tried to stay hidden for a lot of the party and didn’t mingle with other guests. But he seemed to be in a great mood and was laughing and whispering with the girls and surrounded by his entourage who were very protective.”
The news outlet also reported that sources at the party suggested that Brown “cannot be canceled” and still has “a lot of support in Hollywood.”
In response to the allegations made in the documentary, Chris Brown’s legal team has denied all claims, calling them “malicious and false.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, the singer’s attorney stated that Brown “never laid a hand” on Gutierrez and denied wrongdoing in incidents involving Tran.
