During The Bachelor’s three-hour live finale, viewers were treated to a rollercoaster of emotions, with plenty of romance, tears, and unexpected twists from Joey Graziadei’s season. Among the surprises was the heartbreaking departure of fan-favorite contestant Daisy Kent.
After Daisy and Kelsey Anderson, Joey’s remaining two contestants, went on their final one-on-one dates and met Joey’s family, Daisy began to feel a sense of unease in her connection with Joey.
Voicing her doubts to the cameras, Daisy expressed her concerns before confronting Kelsey about her feelings, ultimately deciding to self-eliminate on the proposal podium—a move never seen before in the franchise’s history.
Following the emotional breakup, Daisy joined franchise host Jesse Palmer on stage in front of a live studio audience to discuss her feelings after the finale and to reunite with Joey for the first time since their time in Tulum, Mexico.
Expressing gratitude, Daisy took a moment to thank Joey’s family, who were present in the audience, for their kindness and support during their meeting. She then opened up about the anxiety and insecurities she experienced during their final date.
“It was really great for me to watch because it was kind of validating in a sense that I knew it,” Daisy said. “Everyone could see my emotions from that day. I don’t have any regrets on how I handled it because I tried to handle the situation the best I could…I was very aware of my words I didn’t want to lead you on in any way.”
“I appreciate your understanding,” Joey told Daisy. “And most of all I appreciate the amount of respect and love for us.”
When questioned about the difficulty of her decision to leave, Daisy acknowledged that it was incredibly tough but emphasized that sometimes the hardest choices are the right ones. Joey expressed his appreciation for Daisy’s support, particularly her words of encouragement during their final moments in Tulum, while Daisy reflected on the experience with a sense of fondness, stating it’s something she’ll always remember with a smile.
