When Aaron was eliminated after hometowns on Monday’s Bachelorette finale, Charity Lawson had to decide whether to accept him back.

“I did not want to say goodbye to this man,” Charity, 27, admitted in an on-camera interview. “It was the hardest thing I ever had to do.”

Aaron, 29, was questioned by Charity about why he was coming back.

“I can’t say enough how much I see in you and our future,” Aaron said to Charity. “I still see you as my wife, I still see you as the mother of my children.”

Along with that, Aaron told Charity he had “a lot more that I’ve been wanting to show you.”

Charity was compelled to hang on to Aaron. “My gut is telling me that I owe it to this man to give him time, to give himself time, to not give up right now on what we actually have built,” she said to the cameras.

Aaron was then informed by Charity. She told the software salesperson, “I would absolutely love it if you would stay,” then suggested they go out to dinner and hang out in her room.

To start off their date, Charity suggested they raise a glass in honor of “a hard reset.”

By the end of the evening, after talking and kissing, Charity had “reconsidered everything.”

“I knew how much I regretted my decision last time,” Charity added in an on-camera interview.
