A video allegedly said to be a case of honor killing showed a young woman being violently attacked and beaten with whips and sticks by her family, as onlookers made no effort to help or stop the attack.
According to the post on X, the unfortunate event happened in Raqqa, Syria, and is one of the many occurrences of honour killings by family members in the Muslim community.
According to Wikipedia, honor killings and honor crimes are defined as acts of violence, usually murder, committed by male family members against female family members who are perceived to have brought dishonor upon the family.
