Serial Killer Bryan Kohberger has finally been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murder of four Idaho Students.
Kohberger was sentenced after he pleaded guilty to all counts of murder to escape the death penalty.
The victims’ names were Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogie, and Kaylee Goncalves. Bryan has stabbed them to death in the mask.
To date, nobody understands why or the motive behind the senseless killings. What did they do and why were they attacked?
Kohberger has a chance to tell his side of the story in court, but he waived it, stripping the victims of closure once again.
The rural town of Moscow in Idaho was shaken to its core when the authorities announced the murder of four students who were targeted in their rental home near the University of Idaho in late 2022.
The police began investigation immediately, trying to find out why the perpetrator only murdered four victims when there were six people in the house.
They did not get answers immediately as there was nothing much to go on with in the crime scene. Time was slipping away, and one month later, the authorities had yet to arrest a solid suspect.
Another two weeks later, the authorities caught a break when they used the DNA recovered from the rental home to identify Kohberger. He became the lead suspect when his cellphone records showed he was in the area around the time of their deaths.
He was caught red-handed when the police also traced him to a white sedan, which was seen around the rental home multiple times around the time of the homicide.
Although the murder weapon was not found, the police traced the knife sheath found at the crime scene to the kind of knife Kohberger bought.
The families would hope to get more details from the court records when they get unsealed since Bryan refused to talk in court.
During the sentencing, each of the victims’ families spoke directly to Kohberger, making sure he knew the magnitude of pain he caused.
“This world was a better place with her in it,” said Scott Laramie, Mogen’s stepfather. “As for the defendant, we will not waste words. Nor will we fall into hatred and bitterness.
