Last updated on August 26th, 2024 at 03:06 pm

A serving member of the US Airforce named Aaron Bushnell set himself on fire on video, to protest the Israeli war against Palestine, in front of the Israeli embassy in Washington D.C.

He recorded the full video himself, starting from his walking to his place of “martyrdom” with a jar that contained some inflammable liquid.

He then set his phone on the ground, to continue recording the moment he emptied the fuel on his body, and tried to ignite himself many times, before finally succeeding in his self-immolation.

As Aaron Bushnell burnt, he shouted “free Palestine” and would not thrash about but bravely stood and paced till he was almost consumed by the fire, before collapsing on the ground.

Officials quickly responded to the incident, quenching the flames with fire extinguishers.

However, one notably drew his firearm on burnt Bushnell on the ground. His act would draw many criticism on social media.
