Businesses in Anambra state, including major markets in its capital – Awka, as well as its major market hub, the Onitsha main market has fully opened for business.

A quick survey revealed that shops are opened and activities have fully returned back to normal after the halt and suspense created by the Governorship elections, in which Soludo, former CBN Governor, came out victorious.

It was reported that many residents fled the state, in fear of violence that might erupt as a result of the highly debated Governorship elections.

The Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, at the last minute, agreed that elections will hold in the state, after some of its factions said that it won’t hold, amidst violence from unknown gunmen.
