While the suspected killer of Charlie Kirk has not yet been officially identified by the authorities, netizens have dug out their suspect, and they claim it is a transgender man and musician named Skye Valadez, living in Utah, who, in August 2025, uploaded a song on SoundCloud titled “Charlie Kirk Dead at 31.”
The internet speculations claimed that his SoundCloud profile was set to Ogden, Utah, as its location, but was renamed to “leave me alone”, after he successfully shot and killed Charlie Kirk on Wednesday.
The trail went over to social media, where an alleged Skye Valadez Facebook account, which had the same message that read “Leave me alone”, was found. Also, a suspected Pinterest profile was also in the news.
These unverified speculations now trend on social media following the release of the photo of a person of interest and the reward of $100,000 by the FBI for help in getting the suspect. The photo was captured after a surveillance camera showed him coming down the roof and fleeing on foot after the shooting.
The huge monetary reward from the authorities is an indicator of the severity of the crime and how wanted the suspect was. However, in the case of unraveling Charlie Kirk’s killer, some are of the opinion that it was an indicator that the FBI was stuck and had no lead.
Nonetheless, the FBI has a lot of work to do, sorting through the over 7,000 leads they have received so far from the public, and pending the conclusion of their investigation, the public is urged to disregard the viral claims.
