Prime Video, in a new announcement, had introduced Ryan Hurst as the cast of Kratos in its yet-to-be-released God of War television series.
The series, which is still in the making, will be tailored along the two most recently released games in Sony PlayStation’s blockbuster franchise and will focus on the cast, “Kratos” and Atreus, his son, as they walk through a tough mythological world.
Kratos has featured in the God of War games numerous times, and Hurst is not unfamiliar with the franchise, having voiced Thor in God of War: Ragnarök.
The television series has been adapted by Ronald D. Moore, who is widely recognized for Outlander and Battlestar Galactica.
Already released games will take place as backstory, revealing the past of Kratos as a Spartan warrior who sold his soul to the god Ares.
The person to direct the first two episodes has been revealed, and his name is Frederick E.O. Toye. The series has the production of some of the biggest producers in the industry, including Sony Pictures Television, Amazon, MGM Studios, PlayStation Productions, and Tall Ship Productions.
