An actress widely known for her role as a great receptionist in WKRP in Cincinnati, playing Jennifer Marlowe, Loni Anderson passed away in Los Angeles at the age of 79 after battling a long illness.

Her death was made known by Cheryl J. Kagan, her publicist at the time.

Loni Anderson hailed from Minnesota. She was nominated twice for the Emmy Awards and became a well-known figure not only as an actress but also for her high-profile marriage to a professional colleague actor, Burt Reynolds, and subsequent divorce.

She was on the screen as a talented Hollywood star in TV movies that include The Jayne Mansfield Story (1980), alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, and White Hot: The Mysterious Murder of Thelma Todd (1991).

Some of the popular movies she featured in between the years 1988 and 1990 are Three Coins in the Fountain, Leave Her to Heaven, and Sorry, Wrong Number.

The late Hollywood goddess also appeared in Police Woman, Barnaby Jones, S.W.A.T., and Phyllis before she landed her legendary WKRP role.

Loni Anderson knew her integrity and stance earlier and rejected playing a role in Jennifer Marlowe due to issues with the script, and took the role after revisions had been made to it.
