Sabrina Carpenter will be making a bold return to the music world as she is set to release a new single, “Manchild,” on June 5.
The singer, who is a proud Grammy Awards winner, announced via her social media account on Tuesday. She shared the new song’s cover art and teased the track with the caption, “This one’s about you!!” Produced by Jack Antonoff, “Manchild” will first be played just before her Primavera Sound performance in Barcelona on June 6, where she will be performing the song live for the first time, more like her “Espresso” Coachella debut.
The Grammy winner started teasing the track with a 16-second clip showing her in denim shorts and billboards, with the attempt to hitchhike along a dirt road.
The title of the vinyl version of the B-side is “Inside of Your Head When You’ve Just Won an Argument with a Man,” suggesting that the song will contain a cheeky lyrical theme.
‘Manchild’ comes just after the success of Short n’ Sweet and its deluxe reissue, which contains tracks that include “Please Please Please” and “Bad Reviews.”
