Offset isn’t hiding his feelings about Cardi B’s new relationship with NFL player Stefon Diggs, but he is doing it the petty way with cryptic tweets and subtle jabs.
Cardi B’s relationship with the Migos rapper has gone from strained to worse since she filed for divorce in the summer last year. No public truce, no friendship. Just tension.
Cardi made her relationship with Diggs official in May, sitting front row with him at an NBA game. The internet exploded. Offset initially played it cool, commenting “happy for her” on a post of the couple. That didn’t last.
On June 1, after photo dumps from both Cardi and Diggs, Offset fired back digitally. He posted a now-deleted GIF of a player tossing a basketball with the caption “Today I pass.” Then came: “Good roll our n PR.” Shade. Loud and clear.
The new couple had just marked six months, Cardi showing off roses and cosy snapshots. Fans cheered. One wrote, “Thank you, NEXT!” Diggs joined the action, posting a meme of Quavo—Offset’s estranged Migos brother—saying, “Well, wrap it up then.”
The situation has become messy, spicy, and also entertaining.
