Morrissey Blames Stockholm Show Cancellation On ‘Imaginary’ Labels And Tiredness

Morrissey has canceled his Stockholm show over the weekend due to tiredness after he crossed six countries in only seven days.

The artist made the announcement on social media, where he also took a swing at the music industry by making an accusation of “imaginary record labels” giving no financial aid.

He is yet to drop an album after his “I am not a Dog on a chain,” which he released in 2020. He is also yet to release the song titled “Bonfire of teenagers” that was supposed to be a follow-up up which he said was stalled by a lack of label interest.

However, before his issues with his label, he had earned a reputation for vanishing from the stage. Since 2010, he’s canceled or postponed more than 100 shows.

He’s now scheduled to return to Berlin on June 27. Then it’s off to North America in September, where he’ll attempt to make up for earlier no-shows. Whether he sticks to the schedule is anyone’s guess.
