
Chelsea has emerged successful in their first leg of the semi-final after thrashing Djurgarden 4-1 in Stockholm. The Blues, which secured a dominant victory and is hoping to win their second leg against the team, made eight changes as they prepare to compete against the title holder Liverpool on Sunday.
Chelsea was destined to win the game as they performed outstandingly from the beginning of the game.
The first goal in the game was scored in the 12th minute after the commencement of the match by Jadon Sancho through a successful and brilliant conversion of a pass from Enzo Fernandez, with a deflection from Marcus Danielson.
The first half did not end without the English team scoring a second goal with Fernandez setting up Noni Madueke through a fine assist and making the ball pass Djurgarden’s goalkeeper and end in their net.
Chelsea remains strong after their return from the break. Nicolas Jackson, who came in as a substitute, took advantage of a defensive error committed by the other side to fire in the team’s third goal, then scored another brilliant goal with a good shot from the side of the box.
The game did not end without Djurgarden scoring a goal through a header by Isak Alemayehu, who is only 18 years old, but it was not enough to destabilize Chelsea. The goal makes it Alemayehu’s first senior goal. The Swedish side will have to do more in their second leg against Chelsea to continue the competition.
Chelsea is in good form to make it to the final, which will be played on 28 May in Wroclaw. Chelsea will break the record of lifting all major European trophies.
