Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin space exploration flew an all-female crew and passenger flight out of Earth, but viewers after watching the landing and opening of the space shuttle say it was as fake as the moon landing.
Six women: celebrity and singer Katy Perry, Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sánchez, TV host Gayle King, activist Amanda Nguyen, rocket engineer Aisha Bowe, and movie producer Kerianne Flynn boarded Blue Origin’s New Shepard space shuttle on April 14.
The space rocket took off from West Texas at 08:30 local time (14:30 BST). The total flight time was 11 minutes, and it was fully funded by the company.
So what went wrong?
Here is why the recent Blue Origin space exploration was seen as another hoax by many, and their proof was from real-time videos that covered the space shuttle post-landing. This is because occupants opened the door from inside, before a woman standing guard outside stopped them.
Minutes later, Jeff Bezos, who fell face down at one point, then used the special apparatus to open the space hatch from outside, allowing the women to come out.

Viewers also compared the shuttle’s body, which appeared neat and unscathed, to previous spaceships that have journeyed to outer space.
Not only was the journey itself said not to be true, but the female crew did not receive the anticipated glory they thought they would get.
Galye King was not happy they their space exploration was referred to as them taking a “ride”. According to her, such terms were not used when it was men who manned the craft.
It did not end there, the journey was also criticized for the enormous pollution it created in light of calls for a greener earth. Emily Ratajkowski was at the center of this, as she asked them how many resources were wasted in having the women fly to space.
