The Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic scored a triple-double in 107-99 revenge win against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday.
The Slovenian star finished with 19 points on 6-of-17 shooting, 15 rebounds, 11 assists, three steals and two blocks.
Along with Doncic, LeBron James and Austin Reeves also got double points, recording at least 20 points each. However, all eyes were on Doncic who felt betrayed by the Mavericks when he was traded away out of nowhere.
He taunted the Mavericks bench when he scored his first three-pointer. Doncic showed up and showed out from the beginning. He had something huge to prove.
After the first quarter, the Slovenian grabbed 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Although he slowed down in the second quarter, he still added three more points and five rebounds going into halftime.
Nevertheless, the Mavericks came with a plan. They were not going to be beaten senseless even with the ongoing beef. When the coach saw that the Lakers meant business, he started tweaking his defense around James and Doncic.
They succeeded in making things tough for the duo on defense, however, a 14-point quarter from LeBron and other Lakers stars pushing for multiple points gave the Los Angeles franchise the win in a beef too personal.
